Prove your accounts are really yours.

RealHandles ties your high-profile social accounts to one real person and gives you a proof you actually own. It is signed by your key, it lives wherever you want, and it keeps working even if we are gone.

Keybase, but it outlives us. This is not a username checker. It is proof a set of accounts belong to you.

Your key is the identity

The root of trust is yours

An Ed25519 key generated in your browser signs your proof. Not our login, not your domain. We never see the private key.

Portable and self-verifying

Works without us online

Your proof is a signed manifest you can host at your own domain. Anyone can verify it with off-the-shelf crypto, no RealHandles required.

A domain is just an anchor

Lose the domain, keep the identity

If a domain lapses and someone else buys it, they can host a file but cannot sign it with your key. They get a broken anchor, never your identity.

How it works

1. Generate your key. In your browser, held by you, backed up encrypted with a passphrase. This is the one thing that is truly you.

2. Confirm your accounts. One-click OAuth for GitHub and X, plus a domain anchor you host yourself. More platforms and proof-posts come next.

3. Sign your manifest. Your key signs one file listing every confirmed account. That file is your proof.

4. Share your page. A public, always-current profile of your real accounts, with a "verify independently" button and a full JSON export.

Short handles cannot just be nabbed

The shorter the handle, the stronger the claim you must hold. You reserve a name by proving you already own it, so squatters cannot grab realhandles.com/you.

Open Handles of 6+ characters are first come, first served. A matching account or domain still earns a namesake badge.

Premium Handles of 3 to 5 characters require at least one matching verified account or domain.

Reserved Handles of 1 to 2 characters require a strong match: a .com you control, or your handle on a tier-1 platform (X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn).

A match means your verified handle on a key platform equals the name, or you control the matching domain. Domains rank above platforms, and .com ranks above other TLDs.

The honest tradeoff: because your key is the identity, losing it with no backup locks you out, exactly like a self-custody wallet. There is no reset link, because a reset link would mean someone other than you could sign as you. We give you encrypted backups now, and recovery contacts are on the roadmap.
